Synchronization of brain waves occurs between two individuals who share a common understanding. The circular motion of the two face molds represents time; like the arrow of time, the faces always turn, synching in and out with each other. The time-based medium of movies provides stories of characters whose lives weave together temporarily before separating into an interlude.

Two face casts are rotated by stepper motors, each with an adjustable speed that the audience can control. By synchronizing the rotation, participants create a resonant sound. Left alone, the spinning gradually becomes more organic, while the sound grows increasingly dissonant. The work reflects how moments of shared understanding in human interaction can be achieved, but are always temporary.
